A web designer works on a website's visual presentation, layout, and interface. The work considers branding, readability, navigation, and how pages adapt to different screens. Web design and web development overlap, but they are different responsibilities. A developer implements the website's functionality and integrations, while a designer focuses on how people see and use the interface.
